As part of our mission, the Montecito Fire Department prioritizes visiting schools, community groups and special events to promote fire and life safety.

Some of the topics we cover include:

• Stop, Drop and Roll
• Smoke Detectors Save Lives
• Appropriate Use of 9-1-1
• Home Fire Safety and Exit Drills
• Wildfire & Disaster Evacuation Preparedness

If your school or organization would like to have a fire engine and/or speaker come to your location and you are within the community of Montecito, complete the request form below. 

Please submit your request at least three weeks in advance of your event.

The Montecito Fire Department proudly participates in many community events each year. Our participation is limited to educational and community events only. We are unable to support private events such as birthday parties due to normal day-to-day demands for emergency service.

Please be aware that fire crews are on duty 24 hours a day. Even with booked events, the possibility exists that the crew could be diverted due to an emergency. If a crew does not arrive for your scheduled event, please call 805-969-7762 to reschedule.
