Light & steady rain is falling across much of the South Coast. We just got an update from the National Weather Service LA/Oxnard office on the storm.

The system is expected to intensify Wednesday night (12/29) but primarily over Ventura, LA & Orange Counties, more so than Santa Barbara County.

On the South Coast, we may see 0.5-1.5 inches of rain for the coasts & valleys and 1-3 inches in the mountains & foothills. Rain rates will be about 0.2-0.5 inches per hour. With relatively low rain rates and total rainfall, we feel confident that there will not be any major flooding or debris flows in Montecito.

Our sandbag filling station remains set up at Lower Manning Park for Montecito residents to utilize. Make sure that you & your loved ones are signed up to receive emergency alerts at ReadySBC.org. Please be extra cautious while driving in the rain and we hope you enjoy this winter weather safely!
